Watch the World Around Fly By Us

Guess what? I'm terrible at blogging consistently, and Nashville is home to an abandoned airport! My friend, Becca, and I had the adventure of our lives checking this place out a few weekends ago. Extreme measures were taken to get some of these shots, so please love the photos as much as we do.
Life in Nashville has been chaotic and passionate. Things have been "rearranged," (and I don't just mean my living room, cause it's so cute now!) some for the better and some for the worse. I am so ready to get away again and head home to the land of Oz (Kansas) for the holidays with my favorite humans.

More than that, I'm excited for what 2016 will bring. Adventures, adventures, adventures.

Rosemary Beach

For the last 3 months, my sweet friend, Lindsay, has been trying to figure out a good time to go to the ocean. We tried to pick a date when the two of us and possibly other friends would be able to go, but it turns out, trying to plan stuff months/weeks in advance doesn't always work out. However, every single time I have spontaneously gone on a trip, that was not planned, it always works out. I'm sure that's mostly because I'm all for unexpected adventure, but a truth is still a truth.

We made plans to go to the beach about 7 hours before we left. We chose Rosemary Beach! The beauty was breath-taking. I hadn't been to the ocean in almost 3 years. It's nice living in the south now because you can get to it in a day. We had the most wonderful time. It was quick, cheap, and beautiful. A perfect last glance of summer. Enjoy!
It's crazy to think this time last year was when a very similar situation happened with my sweet friend Madison. (I blogged about it here) I'm getting excited that my 'travels' posts are quantifying. I have big travel plans within the year. To be continued ...
We had the most marvelous time. Though I must say, coming back home is half the fun of traveling. Cause, there's no place like home.

I'm from Kansas, therefore, I'm allowed to say that.

Ready for Fall

I don't care that it's not October yet. The weather here in Nash has been a dream and it's making my heart the happiest. I've felt optimistic about the year 2015 ever since it began, and it really feels like my year. Something is about to change, for the better. I can feel it. My life tends to change with the seasons (as I so obviously stated here) and I can't wait to see how it changes this fall.

I wish I could pick a favorite thing about autumn, but I just can't. There's no way to choose one over the other. I can pinpoint a few reasons why it's magical, though; 64 - 75 degree weather, bright colors, sweaters + hats, bonfires, Halloween, the restart of drinking hot coffee, and the list goes on.

This year I'm so excited that I made a must to-do list. Most of the things on the list are probably what every other 20-something female would put on their own list, but I guess that means I'm fitting in.

1. Go to an apple orchard
2. Carve a pumpkin
3. Crotchet beanies
4. Hike once a week
5. Read 11 books
6. Bake: apple pie, pumpkin bread, sweet potato pancakes
7. Have a Halloween party
8. Watch Hocus Pocus
9. Boycott the pumpkin spice latte
10. Go to a football game
11. Take a photo every day in October
12. Go to the Smokies
13. Watch Zac + Sydney get married
14. Write letters
15. Stop biting my nails
16. Have Friendsgiving
17. Go to a haunted house (this would be the first time!)

That's all I've got so far. But I'm making pretty good progress // I've made 4 beanies.

Expect all the photos soon.
